Happy Birthday, Longs Peak, Colorado Card

The front of the card features a photograph of Longs Peak from the north. Longs Peak is one of the 53 mountains with summits over 14,000 feet in Colorado. The peak is named after Major Stephen Long, who explored the area in the 1820s. Longs Peak is one of the most prominent mountains in Colorado, rising 7,000 feet above the town of Estes Park, Colorado to the northeast, and 9,000 feet above the town of Lyons, Colorado to the east. Longs Peak and the nearby Mount Meeker are sometimes referred to as the Twin Peaks. On the back is a photograph of The Gore Range (elevation approximately 12,000 ft), which is a mountain range in the Rocky Mountains of north central Colorado in the United States. This is a view from Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park.
